Dear Friends,

I hope this letter finds you in good spirits having enjoyed the Holiday Season and looking forward to a fantastic 2007.  It is not often that I write an open letter to all our customers; however I believe we are making some exciting changes and improvements here at the company that we want you to know about.  If you look at the top of this letter you will see we are changing our company name.

Our company was founded back in 1925 by my grandfather Joseph J Pestana Sr.  He sold janitorial chemicals, pest control chemicals and provided basic service for pest problems.  The J.P. Chemical Company name was an accurate and appropriate reflection of that enterprise. Obviously, a lot of things have changed since those days so we decided to start this New Year with a new name and a new logo. 

We have not been a janitorial or chemical supply company for a very long time.  We felt our company’s name though well recognized by our current customers, was potentially misleading for new customers.  It was no longer an adequate identity of what we are.  As you know we are a full-service pest control company.  Specifically, we use our advanced knowledge of the biology and behavior of pests to control them.  Today we integrate many diverse control measures which could be physical, structural, chemical or non-chemical depending upon the situation and what is most appropriate for our customers and the environment.  This is called Integrated Pest Management.  We have been practicing this concept since the early 90’s.  It is now the industry standard.

We have also evolved in that we now offer more services.  We very successfully introduced Nuisance Wildlife services this past year.  We will begin to offer Mosquito services in 2007. 

Clearly we have become a more progressive and diverse service company than our old name implied.  We believe JP Pest Services is a more accurate reflection of whom we are today and where we’ll be tomorrow.

Thanks to you and our staff 2006 was a successful and prosperous year.  We look forward to serving you even better in the future.
